Is there a market for edible shoes?

Me and my friend are setting up a website dedicated to edible shoes. It doesn't have to be nice, and it's not a culinary website... we're thinking along the lines of www.hatsofmeat.com . It's called www.eatmyshoes.co.uk . What ideas can people come up with for edible footwear? The rules: Must be made out of more than one peice of food (ie. you can't just stick your feet in two turkey corpses), it must be based on a known type of footwear (usually involving soles and uppers), and you must state the ingredients, including (edible adhesives, etc). We've found the biggest problem has been in finding strong-enough adhesives. Tip: Adhesives will not work with wet foods. Stitching may be an option.

Is there a market for edible shoes?
that is very strange but try royal icing (used to hold ginger bread houses together)
Reply:ask your dog
Reply:ask the foot fetish brigade they probably know more
Reply:dont stitch wrap around the foot then like thongs wrap around the legs.
Reply::-)))) What is your question: is there a market for edible shoes or what edible shoes ideas can we come up with?

It seems like you don't need the answer to the first because you have already started to set up a web-site. And may I ask you: does it mean you have already done a market research and it showed that you will have customers for this?!

I think the best and actually most viable solution is to do basic sandals - thin, light sole with strings to tie it to the foot, or with stringy/carcas upper; and then attach various food items on strings or carcas. It's better to use something nice like strawberries, raspberries, chocolate cake pieces, other fruits, etc, chocolate truffles. This can only be sold in fetish or sex toy shops I guess; or marketed as sex toys on your web-site.

Hope this is helpful! 10% from your annual sales, please! ;-)
Reply:cheese flavours!!

salami for the tounge, spag for the lace, bread - inner sole, cheese - main shoe ( cover the smell of feet!! ), fish skin - sole.
Reply:yeh for your pet dog, nutter.
Reply:do you need any taste testers?
Reply:i hate to be a dream killer....but this will never work.
Reply:Yuck.
Reply:Ooo! ooo! Great idea!

And you can also make them explosive. Kill 2 birds with one stone (2 stones with one bird?)
Reply:Sorry I've only heard of edible panties...

What shoes and clothes to wear to make legs look bigger?

I am a male and I wanted to know how could i make my legs look bigger? What kinds of shoes make your legs look bigger, and what kinds of shorts to wear? it seems like my upper leg is medium or average and my anlkle area is really skinny. What can i do? I really want my legs to appear bigger for the summer?

What shoes and clothes to wear to make legs look bigger?
general rule of thumb, if you are skinny, wear form fitting clothes, it will give the illusion of you being larger. you dont want to wear large clothes that drape over your frame.

wear boot legged pants. they fit nicely around the waist and then are larger down by the ankles. if you do decide to wear shorts, wear some that end just below your knees. if they go too far down all you will see is your skinny ankles. wear narrow shoes. it will give the illusion that your ankles are bigger.

How to stretch a shoe?

materials its made out of Purple suede leather and black nylon uppers and man made soles

its a 9.5 and i wear a 10.5 is there a way that i can stretch it to my size???

How to stretch a shoe?
ooohhh....you're gonna get corns and bunions. I don't think you should wear shoes that are a whole size too small. Not a good look.
Reply:You can stretch the width of a fully leather upper shoe with a shoe stretcher up to a size bigger, but the length will only ever stretch a tiny bit (like 1/8th inch at best)
Reply:No you'd be lucky to get and extra 1/2 size out of it by stretching it!
Reply:a shoe salesperson once told me you will risk damaging the glue that holds the shoe together. so be aware.
Reply:jst get a person with big feet to wear it for a while or wash them then let them air dry no heat
Reply:Just take it too a shoe repair place
Reply:leather stretches when it gets wet
Reply:Shoe horn?
Reply:umm, i'm thinking no.

How do i get the smell out of leather shoes?

I have a pair of leather shoes which i cant wear socks with(wrong style). Now unfortunatly the really smell and i dont know what to clean them with with out ruining the leather upper.

i tried bi carb soda in them for 2 days and that didnt really help much, so i tried scrubbing the inner sole with bicarb and water (synthetic sole) but that didnt really help either which leads me to believe the smell is in the leather, how can i get it out.

oh and i do have ourdor eaters in them yes

How do i get the smell out of leather shoes?
If odor eaters arent doing it then the smell is in the uppers. With synthetic soles and well polished and maintained uppers, they probably don't have too much chance to breathe

Try filling them with scented absorbent cat litter overnight and then get in the habit of putting talcum powder (or powdered starch, or athletes foot powder) on your feet before you wear these shoes, to work as a sweat-absorbing barrier so no more gets into the porous underside of the leather.
Reply:baking soda should help soak up the odor. But, everytime you wear them, the sweat on your feet will wick into the leather, and just get them stinkier. Look a some dudes sandals, you know how nasty they get. Well, you are doing the same thing, but your feet are not airing out like if you were wearing sandals. It's just gonna be nasty.
Reply:Put an air freshner in with a wet cloth and leave for a few days

How do I sell my baseball cards?

I have so many baseball, football, hockey, and basketball cards that I don't know how to sell. They are all mostly early 90's cards, mostly Upper Deck brand. I probably have somewhere between 40,000 and 100,000 cards. Many are factory sealed complete sets, some are unopened packs, some are in 800 or 3200 count shoe box style, those that were worth at least a quarter in 1996 are in card pages, those that were worth 3-4 dollars or more are in individual card holders. I have a 1984 Topps John Elway in near perfect condition, I have Barry Bonds rookies, I have so many more that I don't hardly know what I have. The problem I have is that I no longer am up on who are the sought after cards. All I want to do is get rid of them and will take half Beckett book value just to get rid of them. I just have no idea how to get rid of them but in a way that I can get at least 20-50% of their book values.

So, my question is what is the best way to sell and best way to list what I have?

How do I sell my baseball cards?
You have four main routes to sell your cards. Sell them yourself at trade shows. Sell them as one lot. Sell off your collection piecemeal. Consign your collection to a dealer who will attempt to sell it for you. In any event, a collection your size will take a bit of time to sort through and sell. Give up the hope you will get half Beckett for anything you have. The card market is much softer than it was a decade ago and if you truly wish to depart with your beloved collection, be prepared to humble yourself to the reality you may get 15 percent of what you feel its valued.
Reply:Rummage Sale
Reply:either go to ebay.com or craigslist.com both free to advertise.. happy selling ;)
Reply:Keep em. The card market is as low as it's been in many years. I am holding all of mine for that reason.
Reply:ebay or off on the street dude Asses
Reply:ebay or pawn shop
Reply:I would try to find an appraisal shop and go that route first, or try a convention, put an ad in the paper, or a free ad on the radio, or try a sports store.

How can I get rid of/make less noticable flip flop tan lines?

I'm kind of weary of tanning salons, so I never go in the spring like I should and get a nice base tan. And every summer I wear flip flops with really thick uppers. Thus, I am left with terrible tan lines that look odd when I wear any other kind of shoes. Help!

How can I get rid of/make less noticable flip flop tan lines?
Rub a little Dove Energy Glo moisturizer into the tan lines with a Q-tip. That has a tan tint to it that will even it out. Once you get close in color (a few days use) you can moisturize the entire top of the foot and up the leg so that everything is a even, healthy color.
Reply:If you're not really afraid of the tanning bed I would try a stand up tanning booth for just a couple a days during the week and use body drench amplifier after you shower to help keep the tan. But I would stop going after the tan lines were gone, and I would keep using the amplifier after showering because it also helps keep a tan from the sun. The tan would probably stay until summer is gone. If your not willing to get into a tanning booth take those flipp flopps off while your basking in the sun, put some tanning lotion on them and let them get some sun for a few hours and I still would purchase the body drench amplifier to use after showering.
Reply:I would use bronzer by l'oreal or try evening it out in the tanning bed. If nothing else, take your flip flops off while just sitting outside to prevent tan lines.
Reply:If you put cucumbers on the tan lines, it temporally makes the tan line become less noticeable
Reply:i have the same problem but i use cover up
Reply:Try putting sunscreen on your feet before you go out. If that doesnt help then dont go to a tanning booth. Instead buy some of that tinted moisturizer or bronzer and fill in the tan lines. Its healthier and it cares for your skin at the same time. Hope that helps =)
